Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Player Icons Debut

One of the coolest innovations Nintendo has brought about for Nintendo Switch Online users is the introduction of customizable player icons. By selecting a character, background, and even borders, players can make their very own unique icon. Platinum points acquired through completing weekly and monthly missions are spent to get whatever pieces you like, and they can even be put together randomly to make some wacky creations. So far, Nintendo has released Mario Odyssey, Kirby, Splatoon, and a whole bunch of Animal Crossing pieces, but this week sees the drop of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe pieces joining the mix. These Cup-themed icons will be available through June 8th in the Nintendo Switch Online section on all subscribers’ Switches.
